FAQ
Our Treats & Ingredients
What sets your dog treats apart from standard pet food?
We focus strictly on premium, clean nutrition. All of our treats are crafted from 100% Australian, human-grade ingredients that undergo gentle dehydration or are air-dried to lock in nutrients without the use of artificial colors, preservatives, or chemical fillers. When you buy our chicken or lamb treats, the only ingredient in the bag is exactly that.
Are your products safe for puppies?
Absolutely! Natural chewing is a fantastic way for growing pups to soothe teething discomfort and burn off mental energy. For younger dogs, we recommend our softer dehydrated options or our smaller training rewards, which can be easily broken down to prevent overfeeding during training sessions.
⚠️ Important Safety Note on Bones: If you introduce raw or dried bones to your puppy, they must always be given under direct human supervision. Growing puppies have developing teeth and enthusiastic chewing habits. To prevent choking, broken teeth, or accidental swallowing of large pieces, never leave your puppy unattended or alone with a bone. Always remove the bone once it is chewed down to a size that could be swallowed. (Note: Never give your dog cooked bones of any kind, as they splinter easily and cause severe internal injury).
Do you offer options for dogs with sensitive stomachs or sensitivities/allergies?
Yes. Conventional pet foods often rely on common proteins that can trigger dietary sensitivities. We specialize in single-protein rewards and carry a selection of "novel proteins"— such as kangaroo, venison, and wild-caught fish — which are less likely to cause an adverse reaction. If your dog has a known clinical allergy, we always suggest introducing new proteins gradually and consulting your veterinarian.
What are the benefits of treats with fur or hair left on?
Fur-on treats serve as a fantastic, natural source of dietary manganese and act as a structural fiber. As the fur passes through your dog’s digestive tract, it gently sweeps the lining, assisting in natural digestion and bowel regularity. Additionally, the texture acts as a mild abrasive to help clean surface plaque from teeth.
Do you have low-fat treats for weight management or pancreatitis?
We do. We deliberately source and label lean options for dogs requiring a low-fat diet. Lean proteins like kangaroo jerky, shark cartilage, and white fish naturally contain minimal fat percentages while remaining highly palatable.
Storage & Longevity
How should I store these treats, and how long do they last?
Because our treats contain zero artificial preservatives, keeping moisture out is key. Store them in a cool, dark, and dry pantry. Once the original package is opened, we recommend transferring the treats to a clean, airtight glass or plastic container. Properly stored, our dehydrated and air-dried products maintain peak freshness for up to 12 months from the purchase date.
Understanding Canine Enrichment
What exactly is "canine enrichment," and why does my dog need it?
Canine enrichment is the practice of creating an environment that allows dogs to engage in their innate, natural behaviors— such as sniffing, foraging, problem-solving, and chewing. Providing mental stimulation reduces boredom, lowers stress, and drastically curtails destructive behaviors around the home. A focused 15-minute mental puzzle can tire a dog out just as effectively as a long walk.
How can I combine your treats with enrichment activities?
Our products are designed to pair perfectly with cognitive puzzles! You can:
-
Forage: Scatter small training treats through a snuffle mat or across the lawn for a "sniffari."
-
Freeze: Press our powder toppers or smaller treats into slow-feeders or rubber toys using plain kefir or bone broth, then freeze it to create a long-lasting challenge.
-
Puzzle: Hide jerky pieces inside interactive dispenser toys to make your dog work out how to unlock their reward.
